Safe refinancing 1 Year, 12 Months ago  
Anyone have knowledge of those Australian mortgage lenders not exposed to the present US sub prime crisis?
Possibly some building societies or credit unions?

Don't know of any "safe" mortgage lenders specifically, but a meeting with good mortgage broker may be able to help out if you let them know what you need or give some guide lines

Indeed there are a number of non-banks that are still well funded and have great rates to boot.

In fact our delivery rates to brokers start from 4.36% (11/09/2009) so there are options for commissions up to 1.32% and the choice of different lenders from ING, Challenger, Perpetual Trustees, Permanent Custodians and Origin.

Well I think there are many lenders available. All you need to do is just Google it and you will have a list of lenders available. You will also get a benefit of updating yourself regarding interest rate and what are the basic requirements of considering loan. At last you can call loan advisor who will personally assist you in your interested mortgage loan.
